Social Spectrum Club
Kids and teens ages 12-17 with High-functioning Autism and their typically developing siblings/friends.
Our regular Social Spectrum Club meets once per week during the school year on Thursday's from 3:30-5:30pm. Throughout the Summer months we have scheduled special events, classes and outings. Contact Nicole to find out when the next scheduled event or club date is taking place!
In Central Lakeland at our main club location off Edgewood between Cleveland Heights and South Florida Ave. Or Virtually via Minecraft Realm, Google Hangouts or other online games.
Various activities including but not limited to: Improvisational theater, Art projects, Science activities, Yoga, Water Play, Sensory & Aromatherapy play, Social Skills related games, Board Games, Video Gaming & Educational Technology, Field trips, Social Outings, Reading to Rescue Horses, Therapeutic Animal Interaction, Bike riding, Nature walks, Special Holiday events and More!
HOW MUCH $?:
At this time we kindly ask that you to make a small donation via PayPal or cash whenever you participate with the club. (whatever you can afford) It is not required but very much appreciated as this allows for the purchase of new materials, games, Nintendo e-store downloads, Minecraft Mini-Games & Realm Subscriptions etc. and the hiring of specialized instructors (i.e., Yoga teachers, Local Artists, Bricks 4 Kidz instructor etc.) and basic maintenance (i.e., utilities bill, stocking mini fridge with water, ordering pizza etc.) of our 315 square foot club room. For field trips, all club members must bring their own funds to participate.
HOW TO SIGN UP:
Print, complete and email a registration form (found under the Menu tab 'Registration') for each teen that wishes to attend the club and email it to email@example.com. Also please message Nicole at: (863) 333-5419 to say hello and let me know you have completed a registration. After that we will be in contact with you about our first club get together! I so look forward to hearing from you!
